Griffin: ‘For Arkansas, the Sky Is the Limit’

LITTLE ROCK – Lieutenant Governor Tim Griffin today issued the following statement after he formed the Aerospace States Association’s (ASA) Arkansas Chapter:“I am honored and happy to announce the formation of the ASA’s Arkansas chapter. As a proud member of the ASA, I look forward to leading this new chapter and partnering with the Arkansas Aerospace and Defense Alliance (AADA) to promote greater awareness of the benefits stronger aerospace and defense industries bring to Arkansas. For Arkansas, the sky is the limit. I will continue to explain why Arkansas is a natural location for the aerospace and defense industry and how the State’s leading export is helping us grow good-paying jobs for hardworking Arkansans.”Bob East, President of the Arkansas Aerospace and Defense Alliance, issued the following statement:“The AADA is excited to partner with Lt. Governor Griffin on this effort to promote Arkansas’s aerospace industry. The Lt. Governor’s leadership will help us spread the word that Arkansas is a state primed for aerospace growth.”ASA is a nonpartisan organization composed of lieutenant governors and other state-appointed delegates who promote state interests in the development of aviation policy. The ASA strives to advance economic development by stressing the importance of local initiatives like workforce training and a focus of STEM education and computer science.
