Arkansas Democratic Party to Host Proponent of Late-Term Abortions

Little Rock, Ark — Republicans in Arkansas want to know if the Democrat Party of Arkansas stands with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, their National Chairwoman, in regard to her recent statement claiming unimpeded support of the abortion of a seven-pound baby.

Republican Party Chairman Doyle Webb issued the following statement regarding the visit:“I want to know where the Democrat Party of Arkansas’s allegiance lies. Is it with the people of Arkansas? Or is it with the Debbie Wasserman Schultz? You can’t have it both ways.”

“The people of Arkansas have spoken. Between polling data and how people voted in 2014, public opinion would suggest Arkansans don’t agree with Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s stance. I just want to know if the Democratic Party of Arkansas agrees with her—especially now considering she is a guest of honor at their upcoming celebratory dinner.”
Polling data shows that the majority of Arkansans are Pro-Life, including 60% in support of legislation banning abortions after the detection of a heartbeat.
