Talk Business/Hendrix College Poll Shows Cotton With Growing Momentum As Election Nears

Cotton leads in 15 of the last 17 public polls, including by 8 -point margin in latest Talk Business poll
Little Rock, Arkansas — U.S. Senate candidate Tom Cotton leads two-term liberal incumbent Senator Mark Pryor by more than eight points according to a Talk Business / Hendrix College poll released yesterday. According to the poll conducted October 15-16, Cotton holds a 49% to 40.5% lead over Pryor.
A strong showing among several key demographics, including a 59%-28% lead among Independents, has propelled Cotton's lead. Cotton holds an 18-point lead among male voters and leads among female voters as well. Cotton maintains a 9-point lead among seniors, 51%-42%.
The new polling included a sample of 2,075 likely Arkansas voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.2% and includes live cell phone calls (16%) and automated landline respondents. The poll was actually weighted to include more young voters and fewer white voters.
"Arkansans are making it clear that they want a Senator who won't be a rubber stamp for President Obama 93% of the time," said Cotton spokesman David Ray. "Voters are ready for a Senator like Tom Cotton, who will fight to stop Obamacare, balance our budget, and keep America safe and strong."
Cotton led Pryor by two points (44%-42%) in the last Talk Business/Hendrix College poll, which was conducted in July.
