Hays Knowingly Remains in Violation of FEC Law

Little Rock, Arkansas — The Republican Party of Arkansas filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against Democrat candidate for Congress Patrick Henry Hays on Monday, October 6, 2014 for failing to have a proper disclaimer on his campaign yard signs.  Hays’ Campaign Manager, David Furr, responded to the allegation and claimed that their campaign would remedy the signs that were in violation of the law. As of Monday, October 20, 2014 the non-compliant signs have not been corrected.

“For 2 weeks now, Patrick Hays has continued to knowingly violate FEC law; arrogantly disregarding his campaign’s promise to remedy their non-compliant signs after official complaints were submitted,” said RPA Communications Director Holly Wilson. “Whether lying to voters with false TV attacks or violating basic federal election law, Hays will stop at nothing to win this election. “
