French Hill Debate Victory Tops Momentum-Filled Week

Posts record $578,000 quarter, earns Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Chamber of Commerce and NRA endorsements. Media piles on Hays for dishonest campaign.

Little Rock, Ark. — Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives (AR-02), French Hill, won a decisive debate victory against his opponent on “Capital View,” which aired this morning. His performance concludes a momentum-filled week in which Hill posted a record-setting $578,000 fundraising quarter and earned critical endorsements from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette editorial staff, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Rifle Association. This week Hill also formally announced the release of his new ad “My Dream”.

“Arkansans want a job creator, not another big government career politician, representing them in Congress,” said French Hill. “Support for our campaign keeps building, and I look forward to Election Day.”

Hill’s opponent, Patrick Henry Hays, continues to face criticism for his deceptive campaign. On Friday, the Arkansas Democrat Gazette editorial staff wrote: “And his (Hays’) idea of campaigning for Congress boiled down to one simple tactic, which was on full, embarrassing display in one, all too simple, television commercial... What was that one tactic? Throw as much mud as he could at his opponent. How sad. And how revealing.”
