French Hill Beats Pat Hays in Q3 fundraising. New poll: Hill leads by 5 points

Hill raises $575,000, has strong cash-on-hand advantage

Little Rock, Ark. — Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives (AR-02), French Hill, posted a record-setting $575,379 and maintains $506,503 cash-on-hand at the end of the third fundraising quarter, according to Federal Election Commission records posted today. He currently has more than a $152,000 cash-on-hand advantage than his opponent, Patrick Henry Hays. Hays raised $401,034 for the quarter and currently has $354,000 on-hand.

An internal poll from last weekend shows French Hill leading Hays by five percent. Among Independents, Hill leads by 12 percent. Hays’ dishonest attacks on Hill have backfired, and Hays' unfavorable rating is now higher than at any other point in the campaign.

“My common sense, pro-growth message is resonating with voters across the state, and I am very excited with our campaign’s momentum,” said French Hill. “It’s no wonder why out-of-state unions and liberal special interest groups are bankrolling my opponents’ campaign—he’s a big government, career politician who has fought for President Obama’s liberal agenda.”
