Former Democrat Elected Official And Pryor Donor Pleads Guilty To Charges of Conspiracy And Bribery

RPA Chairman Doyle Webb Calls On Pryor To Return Tainted Contributions
Little Rock, Arkansas— Yesterday, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazettereported that former Deputy Director of DHS and former Democrat state representative Steven Jones plead guilty to charges of conspiracy and bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds.

RPA Chairman Doyle Webb released the following statement, calling on Senator Mark Pryor to return the $750 he has received in contributions from Mr. Jones:

“Steve Jones’ disturbing and unlawful actions undermine the public trust. Unless Senator Pryor agrees with Mr. Jones’ behavior, he should publicly denounce Jones’ conduct, and return all donations he has received from Jones to his campaign.”

Yesterday, The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Reported That Steven Jones Plead Guilty To Charges Of Conspiracy And Bribery. "A former state representative and deputy director of the Arkansas Department of Human Services pleaded guilty to bribery charges Thursday, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas announced. Steven B. Jones, 49, of Marion pleaded guilty to a two-count indictment which charges him with conspiracy and bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds."
