LITTLE ROCK – The momentum is growing for the Asa Hutchinson campaign as a new NBC/Marist poll released Sunday shows the Republican gubernatorial nominee with a significant lead of nine percentage points, 48% to 39% over Democratic opponent Mike Ross. This is the largest lead in a public poll since the race began.

Campaign Manager Jon Gilmore released the following statement:

“We are very pleased with the results of this latest poll which confirms what we’ve known for months: Arkansans are excited about Asa’s plan for the future of our state. The first poll after Labor Day is an important measuring stick as to where campaigns stand, and with 56 days left until Election Day, we now, no doubt, have the momentum behind us and are well positioned moving forward into the fall.

“Polls will be up and down, and the one poll that matters will happen on November 4. We will continue to work tirelessly to make sure Asa Hutchinson is elected as the next governor of Arkansas.”
