Arkansas GOP Requests Release of 2015 Marketplace Exchange Rates

Little Rock, Arkansas —  The Republican Party of Arkansas has submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to the Arkansas Insurance Department, in response to the department's delay of releasing the 2015 Marketplace Exchange Rates from September 10th, until November 3rd, one day before the 2014 election.

“Across the country, we’ve seen harmful results of marketplaces set up under Obamacare, and Arkansans deserve to know how they will be affected,” said RPA Chairman Doyle Webb.

“Americans have seen their plans cancelled and their rates skyrocket, and AID needs to make information about next year’s plans available so Arkansans have appropriate time to review them. Delaying the release of this information until one day before the election raises questions about the timing, which is why the Republican Party of Arkansas is requesting AID release the rates, as well as any internal or external communication regarding the schedule to release the rates.”
