SCF Statement on Arkansas Senate Race

ALEXANDRIA, VA - The Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) announced today that it is open to endorsing U.S. Representative Tom Cotton (R-AR) for the U.S. Senate if he leads on the big issues and excites the grassroots in Arkansas. SCF's super PAC, Senate Conservatives Action (SCA), has spent more money to defeat incumbent U.S. Senator Mark Pryor (D-AR) than any other political organization in America.

"We like Tom Cotton and we're open to supporting his campaign if he leads on the big issues and excites the grassroots in Arkansas," said SCF Executive Director Matt Hoskins. "Defeating Mark Pryor was our top priority going into this election cycle and we put that into motion earlier this year with a hard-hitting media campaign that informed voters of his liberal record."

SCF's super PAC, Senate Conservatives Action (SCA), spent $400,000 this year on video ad campaign educating voters about Senator Mark Pryor's liberal record before he could attempt to reinvent himself. The media campaign drove Pryor's numbers into the ground and cemented the way voters feel about him.

"We kicked the stool out from under Mark Pryor earlier this year and we don't think he will be able to get up off the ground," added Hoskins. "Voters in Arkansas know Pryor is a liberal and they're not going to re-elect him."

The Senate Conservatives Fund promotes conservative policies and helps elect true conservative leaders to the United States Senate. SCF is not affiliated with the Republican Party or any of its campaign committees. SCF was founded by former U.S. Senator Jim DeMint to help the grassroots stand up to the Republican establishment in Washington.
