'Arkansas Comes First' Not For Sen. Mark Pryor

Arkansas’s U. S. Senator Mark Pryor is fond of a sign in his office, inherited from his Dad, which boldly proclaims, “Arkansas Comes First.”  His constituents can only wish that the Senator’s voting record reflected that priority.

by Curtis Coleman: Last week, the U.S Senate voted down a resolution that would have stopped the single most expensive rule the EPA has ever written.  The new regulation will kill coal-fired energy production plants and continue the Obama Administration’s war on manufacturing in America.

Not only will this new EPA regulation cause the loss of between 180,000 and 215,000 jobs, it means the cost of electricity at your house or business could very well double and some estimate even triple or quadruple over the next three to four years.
So how did Arkansas’s Senior Senator vote on a resolution to stop the EPA from its devastating blow to America’s economy and national energy independence?  If “Arkansas Comes First,” he surely voted for the resolution, right? Wrong!  He voted against the resolution that would have stopped the EPA.

But he did even more than that.  Senator Pryor introduced a bill that would make it look like he was reining in the EPA for his constituents back home, but in reality would allow President Obama to continue to kill coal.   So not only did Senator Pryor vote against you and against Arkansas, he took the duplicitous action of trying to appear to be voting for you while he was voting against you.

I think it’s time for a new sign on the senator’s desk, which should read:  “It’s Time to Retire, Mr. Pryor.”

By the way, Arkansas’s Senator John Boozman voted for you and for Arkansas.  He voted for the resolution to stop the EPA.
