Obamacare: Two Years, Too Many

by Katherine Vasilos, Republican party of Arkansas: Two years ago today, President Barack Obama signed his massive government takeover of health care into law. Under Obamacare, Arkansas families will pay more for health care, government spending will skyrocket and unaccountable bureaucrats will make decisions once left to patients and their doctors.

Because of these failures, Democrats across Arkansas are afraid to campaign on the Obama Administration’s signature achievement. Yet, the state Democratic Party has an unmistakable record of supporting the President’s health care law, from Governor Mike Beebe and Attorney General Dustin McDaniel to members of the Legislature. You can read their record here.

Voters across this state deserve to know which team Democratic candidates stand with: Team Arkansas or Team Obamacare?

The bottom line is Obamacare does not offer the affordability President Obama promised. Its mandates and regulations are bad for small business and economically destructive to our state and nation.

To mark Obamacare’s 2nd birthday, on Friday Republican Party Chairman Doyle Webb delivered a “Two Years, Too Many” cake to the Democratic Party of Arkansas. RPA Video follows

In November, we must send a Republican to the White House who will continue his promise to repeal the President's deeply flawed health care law. The people of Arkansas and America simply cannot afford another four years of Barack Obama.
