Arkansas GOP Announces 2012 Republican National Convention Page Program

Little Rock, Ark. – Republican Party of Arkansas Chairman Doyle Webb announced today that the State GOP is now accepting applications for the 2012 Republican National Convention Page Program. Pages will serve the Republican National Committee (RNC) during the week of the convention in Tampa Bay, Florida, from August 25 to 31.

“The Convention Page Program provides young adults with positive education experiences while building a new generation of Republicans through participation and community service,” said Republican Party of Arkansas Chairman Doyle Webb.

Pages must be 16 to 25 years old and will participate in a variety of convention-related duties such as acting as floor runners, assisting with caucus meetings and distributing official convention materials. Pages may also partake in activities such as community outreach, seminars with special guest speakers and trips to cultural institutions.

Interested individuals must submit an application and a one-page essay to the Republican Party of Arkansas by 5:00 p.m. on April 6, 2012. The Arkansas Page Nomination Committee will select two nominees by April 16, 2012. Page nominations are confirmed based on approval from the RNC and will be announced in May.
