President Barack Obama Running on Empty in Arkansas

“Arkansans are feeling unprecedented pain at the pump,” says Webb.
Little Rock, Ark.– State Republican Party Chairman Doyle Webb released the following statement on President Obama’s failure to offer a comprehensive energy policy which has resulted in record high gas prices for Arkansans:
“Thanks to President Obama’s inaction on an energy policy, Arkansans are feeling unprecedented pain at the pump. Gas prices have skyrocketed since Obama took office—from an average of $1.85 a gallon to over $3.71 a gallon today.  In Arkansas, gas prices have risen 10 cents over past week and 30 cents since January, with the average gallon now costing $3.52.

“Families that are already struggling from the difficulties of Obamanomics are finding it even harder to make ends meet with gas prices soaring higher and higher by the day.

“The few decisions that President Obama has made on energy have made matters worse, not better. Most recently, President Obama blocked the Keystone pipeline despite our clear need for safe, reliable, affordable energy and thousands of American jobs.

“Arkansas voters have had enough of President Obama’s broken promises and failure on energy policy. It’s time for new leadership in Washington that has a coherent vision on energy policy, not more of President Obama’s failed policies.”
